Contest 9: Jenni's Story Search

(1-16-2001)

The object this time was to find as many different TBAA episode titles as possible in the following description of a typical day for Jenni. The story is first given with out the answers and the next version contains the answers underlined.

Hello! My name is Jenni and I live in Dyeland Castle. This is how my day usually goes......

I get up around 8 and go downstairs to prepare breakfast. (Unless I stopped at Crispy Creme the previous night, in which case those get devoured.) No matter what it is I enjoy breaking bread with Audrey, occasionally Andrew, and whoever else stops by. Then I go to either my room, the castle's library, or my office to work on official JABB stuff or homework cause even in a magical world I can't entirely escape that! Unfortunately sometimes I get distracted and many a newsletter or paper has gotten thrown into the fireplace.

After that I go outside and see if any new castles or buildings needed built or if I need to oversee the restoration of an older building. That's slowed down a lot here lately so then I usually go for a walk. Some of my friends don't like this because they believe I'm seriously at risk of getting kidnapped again. I just think they should trust me, after all things are a lot less confusing now with all the castles and such. Also, it's not as if I can't find a Dyelander out there willing to show me the way to go home at night.

After my walk I then go to the mall to see how all the shopkeepers and businesses are doing. My favorite is a friend's family business. She and her parents have a book store. They sell all sorts of great books. Books about the peacemakers of our time, books on how to play the perfect game of hearts, and of course the true confessions of Chiwawa (a bestseller in Dyeland). There's also a shop with beautiful figurines and paintings and candles. It was a lifesaver last Mother's Day when I forgot to pick up a gift for mom on earth!

After I visit the mall it's about time for lunch so I stop by the cafe. The occupants of the cafe are always so happy (or drank tons of coffee and are just hyper) and I have a great time visiting with them. Before long, though, I have to leave and stop by the school. Sometimes I go to a class that interests me or simply see how things are going. I always try to avoid the anatomy lessons so soon after eating, however. Next, I go back to my office to check email and see if any other urgent business has come up. Usually things are fine and I leave again. But not before staring at the empty chair by my desk and thinking that maybe I should finish that Statistics homework...

Before I leave the City again I always stop by City Hall and the President's House to make sure nothing has come up at either of those two places. That only takes about 5 minutes but many times the angel of death and I get into an interesting conversation about strange happenings in the Forbidden Forest or other news. Then I hop into the ship the man (N.Y. inhabitant occasionally and the hero in some JABBs is a hint) that used to live in Dyeland sent as a holiday gift. I visit with Daisy and Cliff and celebrate the homecoming of their cat who runs away at least once a week. Then I sail on to the Whispering Woods and spend some quality time with the animals there. Sometimes I bring Chiwawa and family with me as they enjoy speaking with other talking animals. I make sandcastles with the merpeople and you've just not lived until you've played charades with lions and ostriches!

Finally, I return home for the evening where I spend some time listening to music or reading and praying, "Dear God, thank you for Dyeland and it's citizens, human and talking animals." Then I go have my dinner with Andrew and Audrey and any visitors. Then I go to the highest part of the castle and watch as into the light of day comes the dark sky and full moon. I go to sleep and wait for the sun to come out of the darkness and for the whole thing to start over and go full circle once again!
