Contest 5: John/Andrew/Angel Names

The following clues can all be answered with a name or title that contains either john, andrew, or angel. All the information was obtained from Encarta's Encyclopedia CD-Rom or I thought it up myself.

1. A famous waterfall in Venezuela is named for the American aviator who discovered it.

2. A 1972 Robert Redford movie.

3. A modern poet and once guest star on TBAA.

4. The Englishman wrote a famous religious allegory. (Hint: What did Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy read?)

5. Designed a ship. Jenni had an ever-so-slight interest in an actor who portrayed him.

6. A Roman Catholic pope of the 20th century. (Hint: Both his birth name and the name he used as Pope contain key words. 1 point for each name.)

7. Friends with Yeshua. Related to Nov. 30th and Scotland. His brother was "a rock."

8. A director whose birth country was featured in a 4th season TBAA episode.

9. Actress from a long-running TV show. Also voiced a character in a "tale as old as time."

10. A friar and painter during the Renaissance.

11. A modern author. One of his books underwent a name change and became a movie starring the kid from "Jurassic Park," a woman whose mother and sister appeared on TBAA, and a cameo by "The Grinch."

12. An American who was the first to sign the Declaration of Independence.

13. A composer. #7 would have known the title character of one of his Broadway hits.

14. The pink Power Ranger.
